Botanical Smudge Wand

Smudge sticks are used for purifying the atmosphere, dispersing negativity, and protection.  White Sage has been used by Native Americans for thousands of years for cleansing, purifying ones self and others as well as an area of space through the technique of smudging. Lavender, associated with the heart chakra and protections from evils, has multi-faceted cleansing uses and medicinal qualities as well as a pleasing scent. Mugwort stimulates dreaming and calms. Cedar is the medicine of protection; perfect for cleansing a home of unwanted influences. Rose stimulates meditation and calm; it is a call for love and to love. 

So, how do we use it? Hold smudge wand at a slight downward angle, light the end using a candle or lighter. Allow the wand to burn for 30 seconds or so and then blow out the flame. Blow on the smoldering end to spread the fragrant smoke wherever you'd like to clear or scent the air as you move through your space. Or, light and blow out at above and then place in a fire safe vessel or dish to smolder on its own. Relight as needed. To extinguish, rub lit end in a fire safe vessel or dish.
